MarkWest Announces Plans for Harrison County

From Energy in Depth:
In front of crowd of over 150 Harrison County residents and officials MarkWest hosted a meet and greet at the Sally Buffalo Park in Cadiz, Ohio.  The purpose of the event was to announce MarkWest’s plans for Utica Shale development in eastern Ohio.  The crowd was given a company overview by Chief Operating Officer John Mollenkopf and Cadiz Mayor Ken Zipka and County Commissioner Bill Host discussed the positive working relationship MarkWest provided when establishing Harrison County as their base of operations for Utica development.
The crowd was very interested in what Mr. Mollenkopf had to say as they know this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Utica Shale development for their county.  As I reported earlier, Harrison County is home to the 2 largest Utica wells in the state of Ohio.
MarkWest’s plans for Ohio are quite impressive.  The company is investing over 500 million dollars in eastern Ohio to develop natural gas gathering infrastructure and processing plants that will provide high paying construction, engineering and plant jobs for Ohio residents.
