Oil & Gas Companies Reaching Out to Area Communities

On a recent cool Friday evening, a group of dedicated volunteers, school officials, contractors and local officials gathered with a team of Halliburton executives to view the new bleachers at Tri-Valley's Jack Anderson Stadium and to dedicate the new Halliburton Athletic Facility in Dresden. 
As previously reported, Halliburton agreed to donate up to $800,000 during the next 10 years to Tri-Valley's Twelfth Man Club to fund the majority of both projects. Without Halliburton's willingness to make a substantial long-term financial commitment to the community, these projects would not have been possible -- at least in the foreseeable future. Because an amazing group of Twelfth Man Club members, architects and contractors, however, the new bleachers were installed by graduation, allowing 600 more seats and safe seating for the elderly and disabled. The same remarkable effort allowed the Halliburton Athletic facility to be complete by the Scotties first home football game. Twelfth Man Club Facilities Director Drake Prouty deserves a special thank you for all of his hard work and dedication.
