Judge Rules NEXUS Pipeline Can Conduct Surveys on Private Property Without Landowners' Permission

Judge Reeve W. Kelsey of Wood County Common Pleas Court has given NEXUS Gas Transmission authority to do surveys for its proposed 250-mile pipeline on private property belonging to Wood County landowners who didn’t want to grant access. 
The ruling was made public one day after property owners in nearby Fulton County made their case to Common Pleas Court Judge James Barber. 
Terry Lodge, an attorney representing landowners in both counties, called the Wood County decision “disappointing.” 
“We’ll be regrouping to fight against the pipeline in other ways,” he said.
