Ohio Anti-Driller Likens Industry Workers to Nazis

From The Athens News:
"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it." - Joseph Goebbels, Adolf Hitler's Propaganda Minister
"A lie told often enough becomes the truth." - Vladimir Lenin
The slick gas industry propaganda keeps telling us that modern "fracking" is a good thing. The industry is using the same techniques that were used in Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union. NPR (propaganda for "liberals") and Fox (propaganda for "conservatives") are both paid by the industry to place lies in your living room, car and truck.
The Thursday, Dec. 12 edition of The Athens NEWS printed two letters to the editor written by paid industry lobbyists or advocates. One by an Energy In Depth Ohio rep, and one from professional oil and gas industry "communicator" in Houston (who's also involved in Energy in Depth Texas). Energy In Depth is a propaganda front for the oil and gas industry. The writers were likely paid to write that propaganda.
The whole letter to the editor can be viewed here.

Of course, there are many who would say that the quote "a lie told often enough becomes the truth" would more accurately describe how all of the claims about the harms of fracking have gained such a foothold.
