Water Treatment Facility for Oil & Gas Industry Planned for Sherrodsville

A water treatment plant for the gas and oil industry could be established in Sherrodsville. 
Mayor Ken Maffett announced during Monday’s village council meeting, Iron Eagle Enterprises plans to move into the Lincoln & Things property on SR 39 once all permits are issued.  Maffett said the company expects permits to be signed by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) April 19 and after a 30-day waiting period will move in.  Iron Eagle Enterprises plans to purchase the property as soon as permits are issued. 
Maffett said the company will bring 30-50 jobs to the area with wages possibly ranging from $12-$14 per hour starting for ground workers and $16-$18 per hour for experienced truck drivers.  Maffett said the village will be involved with any job fairs the company holds and the company plans to hire local qualifying workers.
