Chesapeake Posts $2 Billion Loss in 3rd Quarter, Reports Results on 3 Utica Wells

Chesapeake Energy Corp. (CHK) swung to a third-quarter loss as the natural gas producer recorded a massive write-down on properties, and revenue declined. 
Shares fell 3.1% after-hours to $19.63. Through Thursday's close, the stock was down 10% so far this year.

Results were also reported on 3 Utica shale wells, and much like the number Gulfport released earlier this week they were solid but nothing to get too excited about.

Carroll County's Houyouse 15-13-5 8H– 1,735 barrels of oil equivalent (BOE) per day, composed of 465 barrels of oil, 335 barrels of natural gas liquids and 5.6 million cubic feet of natural gas per day.
Carroll County's White 17-13-5 8H– 1,360 BOE per day, composed of 390 barrels of oil, 285 barrels of natural gas liquids and 4.1 million cubic feet of natural gas per day.
Harrison County's Stuart Henderson 11-12-6 1H– 825 BOE per day, composed of 410 barrels of oil, 100 barrels of natural gas liquids and 1.9 million cubic feet of natural gas per day.
