Oil and Gas Expo Draws Crowd

Opportunity has pulled thousands of people — many from Stark County — to the I-X Center the past two days.
It’s the opportunity to do business in Eastern Ohio’s Utica shale.
Networking is the key to the Ohio Oil & Gas Association’s Oilfield Expo. This is the second consecutive year for the expo, which OOGA held occasionally in past years. Last year, the event was at the Canton Memorial Civic Center, but the expo outgrew the Canton site.
OOGA attracted 220 exhibitors to the I-X Center, topping the 140 who participated last year. More than a dozen of the exhibitors were from Stark County, ranging from established, Altercare and Hammontree & Associates, to small, HPE and American Road Machinery, to new, the Stark County Oil and Gas Partnership.
