Chesapeake Granted More Permits in Carroll County

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources issued eight new permits for Chesapeake Exploration LLC for horizontal wells in that county during the week of Nov. 25.
Chesapeake was granted permits to drill six horizontal wells on the Palmer property in Loudon Township. The company was also awarded another drilling permit for the Burgett farm in Center Township and one more for the Fligiel property in Perry Township.
The energy company holds 161 horizontal drilling permits in Carroll County alone. Chesapeake also has 59 permits to drill in neighboring Columbiana County.
