Two Companies Planning Natural Gas-Fired Power Plants in Carroll County

From the Akron Beacon Journal:
Carroll County now has two companies that want to generate electricity by burning natural gas from the Utica shale.
Advanced Power Services' Carroll County Energy LLC wants to build a $900 million plant north of Carrollton.
The plant could produce 700 megawatts of electricity, enough to power 700,000 houses.

There is a second plan that is not as far along: by New York-based Terra-Gen Power LLC.
It calls for a 600-megawatt plant on 50 acres north of Carrollton.
