3 New Utica Shale Permits Issued; Rig Count Goes Up

After issuing 10 Utica shale drilling permits during the week ending April 30, it was to be expected that the Ohio Department of Natural Resources would probably have less to report this week.  They did, with only three new permits on the latest report.  The rig count did rise for the first time in a while, increasing from 11 to 12.
