API Ohio Director Talks About Continuing Utica Shale Growth

With a $500 million power plant coming to Middletown and a Springfield gas station giant Speedway on the grow, the energy business is on the minds of Dayton area leaders. 
But to get a sense of why the local industry will grow, look east, says Chris Zeigler, executive director of the American Petroleum Institute’s local affiliate, API Ohio. 
Zeigler and API Ohio have been involved in the changing energy business from Columbus, but with sometimes-controversial Utica Shale booming in the southeast part of the state, Dayton and this region will begin to see the windfall.
