Halcon Proposes 14-Mile Pipeline in Ohio

Several nearby communities are involved in discussions with a subsidiary of a Houston-based driller about a 14-mile pipeline proposed to run from Vienna to Lordstown, officials confirmed.
If approved, a portion of the pipeline would run alongside the lower lake property in Girard. City leaders there listened to a proposal from Halcon Field Services during a caucus meeting last month.
Councilman Joseph Shelby, chairman of building and grounds in Girard, said City Council still is mulling the proposal.
"It's a toss-up, a 50-50 deal," Shelby said about the probability of reaching a deal on the 40-foot easement.
