Youngstown Officials Vote 5-2 in Favor of Receiving Lease Offers on City-Owned Land

The Vindicator reports that the council voted 5-2 Wednesday to permit the city to seek drilling offers.
Some city council members wanted the city to wait until a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency progress report on the hydraulic fracturing drilling process — also known as fracking. The study’s first progress report is planned for late this year.
